A Trademark is a sign capable of distinguishing goods or services from that of other businesses. Trademarks cover a large range of items in different fields such as pharmaceuticals, machinery, vehicles and services such as advertising, telecommunications and education.

Duration of Trademark

The registration of a Trademark shall be for a period of 10 years from the filing date of the application for registration. After that period, it needs to be renewed for another period of 7 years.

A service request is filed for Trademark applications when submitting a new application or paying renewal fees.
