A team from Post-Investment support unit paid a visit to the Management team of the Coco D’or Hotel. The team met with the General Manager and the Financial Controller to keep abreast of the day-to-day running of the business.

Located at Beau Vallon, Coco D’or is a 3-star creole style hotel that came into existence 40 years ago.  The hotel consists of 27 rooms and 3 specialised restaurants (Creole, Chinese, Pizzeria) with a workforce of 31 staff of which the majority are Seychellois.

The management informed the SIB team that they have not been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as their client base is mostly repeated guests.  They also welcome many local guests.  Over the partial lockdown, guests extended their stays and they were still welcoming local guests.

The management shared their plans for the establishment as well as constraint and challenges they are currently facing. The SIB team was able to provide guidance on certain topics and offered their assistance should they require further post-investment support.
